Adopted by consensus in 1992, the purpose of the United Nations Minorities Declaration is the promotion and protection of the rights of persons belonging to national or ethnic, religious and linguistic minorities and as such to contribute to the political and social stability of States in which they live. Persons belonging to national or ethnic, religious and linguistic minorities (hereinafter referred to as persons belonging to minorities) have the right to enjoy their own culture, to profess and practice their own religion, and to use their own language, in private and in public, freely and without interference.
This publication also serves as a reference material for doctoral student, professors, scholars, academic institutions, teachers; and anyone interested in furthering understanding of world religions.
Social justice refers to the fair division of resources, opportunities, and privileges in society. It emphasizes fairness in how society divides its social resources.
Freedom is the power or right to act and speak without hindrance or restraint. Freedom is often associated with liberty and autonomy.
International solidarity is the expression of a spirit of unity among individuals, peoples, and organization to promoting social cohesion and trust.
World peace is an idea of a world without violence, where nations try to work with each other. World peace could mean equal human rights for everyone.
